Jake hendry – Head of Programming
An Aussie in the desert… Prior to his introduction to Crossfit, Jake grew up playing Rugby League which bred his passion for health and fitness. After realizing in his late teens that he was more interested in the training side of playing the sport he decided to stop playing, quit his job as an Electrician and pursue a career in Health & Fitness.
After working for several years in the sales side of the fitness industry whilst studying his Strength & Conditioning and Personal Training qualifications Jake then transitioned into working as a Personal Trainer and Crossfit coach. Jake believes that to live the life you want you must focus on controlling what you can. Having taken control of his own wellbeing physically and mentally through training and nutrition and seeing the benefits it has had on his life.
Jake wants to help others in any and every way possible to do the same and make a change for the better whether they are just starting out or have many years of experience inside the gym. Time inside the gym makes up a large part of Jake’s life, both coaching and pursuing his own athletic goals in Crossfit. But outside the gym, Jake is a “very simple man” in his words, who enjoys quality time with his family, getting outside and of course indulging in plenty of delicious foods.
His motto is pretty simple, how you do anything is how you do everything… So in everything you do, give your best effort and enjoy not only the results that will come but also the journey along the way.
